Undisclosed DNA: Our Vision
Undisclosed DNA is a British tech start-up which has solved a problem that many geneticists’ thoughts was impossible – we have made DNA databases and research safe, by creating the method of anonymising sequenced DNA.
DNA is the code to life. It is unique to each individual living thing – determining things like skin colour, eye colour, height, weight, and everything else that makes us unique.
DNA is also critical to modern medicine and R&D. Research using DNA has the potential to revolutionise our lives, especially in combination with new AI developments. It also has a role to play in diverse activities such as pharmaceuticals, insurance, genealogy, horse racing, dog breeding, and much more.
But using DNA in this way comes with huge privacy risks – as we have seen in such cases as the hacking of 23andMe – and once your unique DNA sequence has been compromised, there is no recovering it.
That is where Undisclosed DNA comes in. Our unique, patented technology enables companies to store DNA safely and anonymously, meaning researchers can access the areas of the DNA code they need, without being able to see everything.
By licensing Undisclosed DNA, Governments and private companies can store DNA safely and securely and enjoy all the benefits that DNA research can offer without the risk of being hacked and millions of unique DNA sequences falling into the wrong hands and being used for nefarious purposes.
Our technology enables compliance with GDPR laws around the world ensuring data minimisation and securing the privacy of individuals everywhere now and in the future. No-one else has the technology to do this.
Undisclosed DNA takes the UK to the forefront of genetic technology.
We have the opportunity to harness the power of testing, disease research, ancestry tracing, family matching, cross-border security and more – all without asking anyone to forfeit privacy or needing to support a massive database.
Companies can be fully GDPR compliant whilst embracing the latest in biological and medical technology. With Undisclosed DNA, we can all ensure that DNA research delivers on its huge potential, while our genetic privacy is secured.
Our Mission Statement
Empower and Protect
We believe in the principles of the privacy, empowerment & autonomy of the individual.
At Undisclosed DNA, we believe that everyone’s DNA is their own private property to be kept as private and secure as your medical records.
Our unique, patented technology allows this and we will always strive to ensure that all stored DNA is encrypted and secure empowering individuals and Government to maximise DNA’s potential while minimising risks.
Simply, Privacy
Why Choose Us?
Proven Algorithm
Our unique and patented technology is built on a peer reviewed and tested algorithm. Results have been accurate and reproducible.
Consistency
Our patented algorithm means that it can output predictable and uniform Genetic Addresses based on the same universal four proteins in DNA: cytosine, guanine, adenine, and thymine.
Security
Our technology deploys unbreakable 256-bit AES Encryption meaning all the DNA stored using it is guaranteed to be secure.
